Sourdough Discard Crackers

This recipe is almost too easy to even call it a recipe! If you have a sourdough starter and you don’t know what to do with the extra discard in your refrigerator, this is the perfect way to use it up. These crackers are so simple and delicious by themselves or a yummy dip.

Here is all you will need:

  • 3/4-1cup of sourdough starter
  • 2 tbsp of melted butter
  • 2 tsp of everything seasoning

It looks too simple, but I promise these will be some delicious crackers!

Preheat your oven to 325.

Place your sourdough discard, melted butter, & seasoning in a small bowl and mix thoroughly. Once it’s mixed, spread the mixture thinly onto parchment paper or silicone mat on top of your baking sheet.

Bake for 10 minutes and then take it out of the oven to score it, or cut into pieces. I use my pizza cutter and make a grid. It wont actually break apart yet, but as it bakes it will. Then place the pan back into the oven for 20-30 minutes. You want to make sure it’s baked enough to be crunchy, but not too brown.

And that’s it! Once the cool, place them into an airtight jar or ziplock and enjoy! This recipe will be a crowd pleaser for sure and you’ll feel good about eating these simple ingredients.

Let me know if you’ve tried it!
