Hi, I’m Chasity. I am a wife to my high school sweetheart, Zachary, and we have 3 beautiful children. We both grew up in Southwest Louisiana. I’ll spare a few details, but after Zack spent time overseas in the Marines and I graduated college, we got married. Then we had our sweet daughter 2 years later and first son 2 years after that. Next, with 2 littles and a new job, we landed in Texas. That was our home for about 7 years and we weren’t sure we would ever leave. We added one more son to the mix, and all the fun stuff in between, and here we are in middle Tennessee and we absolutely love it! If I ever left Texas, I knew if would have to be to go to Tennessee. I never knew what having 4 seasons would do for my soul. In between these moves, we also found a hobby of RVing! Good old 2020 happened literally months after buying our first little vacation home on wheels, and we hit the road! That was also the year we started homeschooling and haven’t looked back yet. We love to travel as a family and hope to share a little bit of that with you too in this space. Finally, that gets us to here and now as we are starting this amazing business. I’ve had lots of ideas in my head and I didn’t quite know how things would playout, and if I’m honest, I still don’t! Now you get a front row seat to watch this evolve into what it was meant for!
Touchet Heritage
Touchet Heritage came to be this year in 2023. It’s all about getting back to our roots and creating new ones for our future families. We have released our first products on Amazon and we already have more on the way! Check out our releases so far under the shop tab! The vision behind it is to inspire others to get in the kitchen and try something new, or rather some thing old! Not only will you be making memories, but it will bring everyone around the table. And who doesn’t love good food?
If you can’t find me, always check in the kitchen. My kids will tell you that I am always there. And for me, it’s not a chore, it is more like therapy. I grew up in the 90s where everything was quick and little time was spent in the kitchen. Life just was moving too fast to linger in the kitchen. Homemade stuff was traded for box things and microwaveable items. No one thought about ingredients much either.
As my kids have gotten older, my excitement for making things myself has grown even more. And now I get to show them skills that will stay with them for a lifetime. How cool is that? I want to bring back old skills and discover new ones together. That is what is inspiring this site and this business. I want to bring families back to the kitchen and gather them around the table. It’s a place that has lost its value and it’s time we restore it. It truly is the heart of the home. Gathering around a table is more than just having a meal together; it’s a place of deepened relationships and often time healing. We want to break the culture of being rushed and busy. We only get this one life; let’s not rush through it.
I hope this little piece of the internet will help you feel like you’re in the kitchen with me and that I can empower you to get in here with me! I hope to show you that these skills are not as hard as you thought they were. From sourdough to dinner recipes, and even some yummy family secrets, I’m here to share it all with you. Many of them are becoming a lost art because no one is around to teach them anymore. I’m ready to lean into the skills of the past, and bring a fresh perspective on things to share with you!
